Synthetic heat transfer oil
AVIATICON Finkotherm S-380 is a high-performance synthetic, organic heat transfer fluid based on isomeric dibenzyltoluenes.
It is suitable for use in the liquid phase in closed heat transfer systems with forced circulation. AVIATICON Finkotherm S-380 can be used across the entire work area without pressure overlay. The boiling range of the product at atmospheric pressure is above the application limit. The heat transfer fluid can be used up to a maximum flow temperature of 350 ° C. The film temperature should not significantly or permanently exceed the limit of 380 ° C.
AVIATICON Finkotherm S-380 is ideally suited for indirect heating of reactors, polymerization kettles and distillation columns, processing machines and dryers as well as heat exchangers in process plants and systems for heat recovery. It is also suitable for use in heating and cooling systems.
The heat transfer systems are to be designed and operated in accordance with the recommendations of DIN 4754 "Heat transfer systems with organic heat transfer fluids".
Heat transfer systems with a AVIATICON Finkotherm S-380 filling can be started up at temperatures down to -5 ° C. A trace heating is usually not necessary. AVIATICON Finkotherm S-380 Circuits are advantageously operated with an inert gas back pressure of less than 100mbar on the expansion tank. Nitrogen has proven itself as an inert gas.
